Mona Khaliel is a Cairo-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice examines everyday human experiences and social dynamics through multimedia, including photography, recent and archival photo albums, and digital media. Her work explores how encounters within family and social relationships manifest as moments of connection or friction. Rooted in memory’s influence, her process intertwines personal and collective narratives through community-driven storytelling, reflecting on the persistence of shared experiences in shaping daily life.

Recent group exhibitions include This is Not A Landscape (Medrar for Contemporary Art, 2025), My Favorite Things 8 & 7 (Mashrabia Gallery, 2024 & 2023), Ready-made Patterns (ARD Art Institution, 2023), and Agenda XVI (Bibliotheca Alexandrina, 2023), alongside other collaborative projects in Egypt.

Khaliel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts (Decoration Department) and a Digital Marketing Certificate from the American University in Cairo. She currently works with Medrar for Contemporary Art core team, where she contributes to the organization’s programs and public engagement while continuing to develop her artistic research and practice.
